Studio City offers a laid-back, small-town neighborhood environment in the midst of a major metropolitan center. Residents are able to walk to small, community-owned businesses or drive a short distance to the 101, which provides easy access to the entire Los Angeles network of freeways.
While many people choose to live in Studio City because they work in the entertainment industry, people from all walks of life enjoy the diversity and the atmosphere of the town.
Studio City is located in the San Fernando Valley within the City of Los Angeles. It is bounded, more or less, by Ethel Avenue to the west, U.S. Route 101 to the north and east, and Mulholland Drive to the south. The city earned its name when Mack Sennett was filming in the area in the 1920s.
